At the same time as commemorating Health Insurance Week, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the University of Medical Sciences and the health insurance of the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.

Prof. Khaledi Far, Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences and Health Services of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, in a meeting with the Director General of Health Insurance of the province on the occasion of Health Insurance Week, stated: Mutual cooperation in providing services and increasing people's satisfaction is one of the most important goals.

He added: With cooperation, coordination, and empathy, effective services can be left in society for years and generations to come.

Prof. Khaledi Far continued: "Although we are facing a shortage of some medicines and problems and challenges, we should use the existing conditions and facilities in the best way by doing our duties and being diligent in providing services and increasing people's satisfaction."

He praised the efforts of the health insurance group and interaction with hospitals, health and treatment centers, pharmacies, etc. at the province and city level and added: "Hopefully, with the expansion of cooperation in different sectors, we will see development and progress in the field of treatment and health of the province.

Dr. Alireza Asgharzadeh, Director General of Health Insurance of the province, also said in this meeting: Currently, more than 60% of the population of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province are covered by health insurance.

He added: Since last year, in line with the law on making the population younger, the cost of infertility treatment up to 90% has been covered by health insurance.

Dr. Asgharzadeh reminded: Also, 14 thousand people in the province joined the incurable patients fund, and more than 800 billion Rials have been paid for their treatment.

He announced free insurance for children under 7 years old in the near future and added: With the announcement and implementation of this plan, there will be a huge change in the health system and the prevention of many diseases in future generations.

It should be noted that this meeting was held on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, in the meeting hall of the General Directorate of Health Insurance in the presence of the University Development and Treatment Vice-Chancellors, the Director of the Chancellor's Office, and the Director of Public Relations and Information of the University and a group of health insurance officials.

This year, National Health Insurance Week was commemorated from October 21st to October 27th with the central slogan "Public health insurance is a step towards the realization of social justice".
