In order to achieve the scientific authority on tissue engineering and applied cell sciences, the University’s Department of Tissue Engineering and Applied Cell Sciences held the 2nd Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Symposium with the collaboration of Iranian Tissue Engineering and Repair Association.
This symposium was held on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 with the attendance of a member of the Board of Tissue Engineering and Applied Cell Sciences and an associate professor at Iran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Peyman Berooki, and a number of faculty members at the University, Dr. Shiva Asadpour, assistant professor of tissue engineering, Dr. Vahideh Asadollahi, assistant professor of cell therapies, and Dr. Mostafa Soleimannejad, assistant professor of tissue engineering.
At the beginning of the symposium, the interim head of School of Advanced Technologies, Dr. Shahram Tahmasebian, made a speech regarding the field of tissue engineering and its status and salience in medicine. During this symposium, important studies conducted in tissue engineering were presented by various professors. Among the important subjects, the application of hydrogens in tissue engineering, tissue engineering products and the labor market, stem cells and their application in tissue repair, including the retina, were discussed.
