On the occasion of International Midwives' Day, a ceremony was held to honor exemplary midwives of Iran in the field of education on May 5th, 2023 in Tehran.

In this ceremony, the top professors of the midwifery in the country were appreciated by the honorable Deputy of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and the honorable adviser to the Minister on midwifery affairs, and Dr. Zainab Tavakkol, assistant professor of the Department of Reproductive Health and Midwifery of SKUMS’ Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, was entitled as the country's distinguished midwife in the field of education in 1402 H.S.

Also, at this ceremony, Department of Reproductive Health and Midwifery of SKUMS’ Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery was selected the fourth leading department in the country.
